What a beautiful May we are having! Fremont is gorgeous right now and we are loving it. In the past few weeks we have been very busy and have had several events that have kept us on our toes.
First, Cheryl and Brandon came to town for a visit. It was great to have them for the day in San Francisco. We met up with them after lunch and attempted to go to Golden Gate Park, but we couldn't even find a parking spot so we cruised over to the Legion of Honor Museum. The museum is a stunning building on the top of the cliffs overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge and surrounded by a golf course. It's always windy there and smells like the ocean.
Darryl had some fun recently with a minor basketball injury. He came home after church ball one night with his shirt bloody and all balled up on his eye. He collided with a friend's elbow and ended up with a great shiner and 6 stitches. Luckily it has healed up just fine.
Tanner has been growing up so much. A friend of his was getting a new bike because his old one was too small. We used that as an opportunity for Tanner to learn about money and buy the old bike from his friend. Tanner had a jar of all the birthday and Christmas money he has received so far, so he traded his jar of money for his "new" bike. When we got the bike home he didn't quite understand that he could keep the bike. He kept saying, "That's Jason's bike!" and wouldn't ride it. He stuck to his tricycle for about 2 weeks, then decided the bigger bike was more fun and now he wants to ride it everywhere. However, in his eyes it is still Jason's bike, we are just keeping it here from now on. He likes it so much in fact, he can ride it the entire way around Lake Elizabeth (about 2 miles). People always comment on how little he is and riding such a big boy bike. He does a great job.
That's about it from our end... so long from Seelyland for now.
What a fun week! I love that you and a friend went to a baseball game without hubbies, what a twist!
